New developments in progress
P7 - S4 Age Group The youth group has enjoyed a varied few weeks of activity up to Christmas and now look forward to the restart of the group on Friday 3 February at 7.30p.m. in Longforgan Church Hall. Each evening some of the group members make food for the others to enjoy and we all sit down to eat and chat. A group of lads is looking at the possibility of creating a BMX track in Longforgan and anyone interested can come along and help take the idea forward. The group is open to all in this age group who live in the area of the linked Parish. If you, or anyone you know is in this age group, come along and give it a try.

Younger Children For younger children we have Sunday Schools in Abernyte and Inchture and a Sunday Club in Longforgan. Abernyte Sunday School Meets fortnightly at 10a.m. in the Church. Inchture Sunday School Meets weekly at 9.45a.m. in the Church for the first part of the service then the children go to the village hall. Longforgan Sunday Club Meets weekly at 11a.m. in the Church for the first part of the service then the children go to the Church hall. All three are using the Roots on the Web materials. These are Lectionary - based materials, which means the children are always working on the same themes as the adults' service on the same morning. The materials follow the traditional pattern of the Church's year and so they come from an inclusive tradition and balance Word and Tradition in their teaching. |
